Bucklin Tractor & Implement awards MacKenzie Swan as BTI scholarship recipient

MacKenzie Swan, a Hodgeman County High School senior, has been selected as a recipient of the Bucklin Tractor & Implement Agriculture Scholarship. This scholarship program prioritizes students who are affiliates of their local Future Farmers of America chapter and are actively involved in school and community activities.

Ford County Sheriff issues statement on shooting, traffic enforcement

The Ford County Sheriff’s Office issued a couple statements over the weekend, one of which dealt with an investigation into a shooting that allegedly occurred on March 27. According to Ford County Sheriff Bill Carr, asked for the public’s assistance on information from an incident involving gunfire that occurred during the early morning hours of March 27 in rural Ford County south of Dodge City.

AUTISM AWARE

AUTISM AWARE: The first three men and women to pass the finish line of the annual 5k fun run for Autism awareness, sponsored by the Perfect Fit Foundation of Southwest Kansas, pose in front of a carnival that VFW post 1714 played host to Saturday, April 2. Children and families joined members of the Southwest Kansas Storm football team for a day of face painting, carnival games and puzzle-piece shapes cookies all in the name of raising awareness of Autism.
