FedEx in Dodge City to expand

New construction on 36 acres southeast of the existing FedEx Ground facility on Allen Road is now underway. The Dodge City/Ford County Development Corporation sold the land to a developer who will lease it to FedEx for use as a small package parcel service that is expected to be complete by September, Director Joann Knight said. The 217,000 square foot building will meet the needs of FedEx, which has outgrown its current building, she said. A new connection between Allen and Chaffin Roads will be called Jayhawk Road.
