Got items for American Pickers? Show returning to Kansas in April

Popular The History Channel television series American Pickers, will be making its return to Kansas this April and is seeking locations to pick through. According to show associate produce Meredith Ball, the show is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique “picking.” “The hit show follows skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques,” Ball said in a news release.

City commission to sell land on 14th Ave. for development, make repairs to 2nd Ave. Bridge

A resolution was passed on Monday for the development of land along 14th Avenue and Soule Street to Capital Development LLC for $60,000 by the Dodge City Commission. According to city manager Nick Hernandez, According to city manager Nick Hernandez, the property had been negotiated upon back in 2019 for the sale to go towards the property for retail development.

Appointments made for CFAB, advisory boards

Dodge City commissioners voted on the approval of advisory board members as well as for the board members for the Community Facilities Advisory Board on Monday. Residents were able to apply for the boards and through a review process the commissioners unanimously approved the following people to advisory boards: Airport Advisory board— Reappointment of RaeAnna Bolmer, Jeff Hutton, Andrew Evans and Jeff Hancock.

Western Kansas Scholastic Art Show 2022 at Stauth Museum

MONTEZUMA – An art show featuring the best works of western Kansas are now on display at the Stauth Memorial Museum through Saturday, March 5. According to museum interim director Heather Urich, for the Western Kansas Scholastic Arts Show 2022, the collection of works is by high school and junior high entrants from students in the 31 counties that make up western Kansas.
