‘LATIN MADONNA’ COMING TO TOWN

United Wireless Arena will welcome the “Latin Madonna” to the stage starting at 8 p.m. March 5. Returning to perform in the U.S., the Mexican-American pop star Marisela Hernandez will bring decades of hits to Dodge City with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. Historical society acquires local artifacts

The Ford County Historical Society has some unique items it obtained from the High Plains Journal in Dodge City. According to Ford County Historical Society collections manager Doug Austen, the items obtained were a metal HPJ logo sign, artwork by Ted Carlson and Earl Kuhn, a mounted Marlin that belonged to founder and long-time publisher Joe Berkely, boxes of proof copies and a personalized clock.
