Emma Faye Hargadine

Mullinville- Emma Faye Hargadine, 95, died February 10, 2022 in Hill Top House, Bucklin, Kansas. She was born October 14, 1926 the daughter of C.S. and Rachel (Fulton) Sloan. Faye graduated from Mullinville High School in 1944 and attended Kansas State University for two years. She had lived in Mullinville, Greensburg and Bucklin, Kansas. Faye worked for Cossell-Rader Insurance Company and drove a school bus while in Mullinville. She was the Greensburg City Clerk and long time Kiowa County Register of Deeds in Greensburg. Faye was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rotary Club, the Mullinville United Methodist Church and their women’s group PTD Club. On September 1, 1946 Faye married Curtis Hargadine. He preceded her in death October 6, 1970. She was also preceded by two sons Rex and Roy Hargadine, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a daughter-in-law Shirley Hargadine, two granddaughters Bridgette Hargadine and Erika Hargadine, and three Great-Grandchildren Alex and Stella Christoforu and Elias Hargadine. A funeral service and celebration of Faye’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday February 14, 2022 in the Mullinville United Methodist Church, Mullinville with Pastor Mark Fillmore presiding. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mullinville. Memorials are suggested to the Mullinville United Methodist Church and the Hill Top House, Bucklin, and Hospice of the Prairie, Dodge City, Kansas, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054.

Donald Roland “Don” Myers, 81, died February 2, 2022 at Life Care Center of Andover, KS. He was born on January 3, 1941 at Dodge City, KS, the son of Roland and Dorothy (Schlereth) Myers. His mother died in childbirth and Don was raised by his father and a wonderful step mother, Anna Mary (Novack) Myers.

William ”Bill” L. Humphreys

Jetmore - William “Bill” L. Humphreys, 93, passed away January 30, 2022 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, KS. He was born February 19, 1928 in Little River, KS, the son of Willis Earl and Lottie Mae Byers Humphreys. A lifetime area resident, he was a retired Farmer/Stockman and Dairyman. He was a member of the Jetmore United Presbyterian Church, where he served as an usher and trustee. Bill was very active in the community, serving on the Hodgeman County Farm Bureau Board, Fairmount Cemetery Board and the Hodgeman County Soil Conservation District. He enjoyed hauling silage for the Housman custom silage crew, carpentry work and being a substitute rural mail carrier. On March 12, 1949 he married CoraDell (Enfield). She passed away February 4, 1962. On July 6, 1964, he married Vada F. McKibbin in Carlsbad, N.M. She passed away May 26, 1991. On June 12, 1993 he married Barbara J. Boyd in Jetmore, KS. She survives. Other survivors include: his children, Cary (Phyllis) Tucker, Lebanon, KS, Linda McIntire, Spokane, WA, Jeff Miller, Saint Louis, MO, Scott Miller (Belinda Martinez), Wichita, KS; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
