A decade later, age becomes an issue
Dear Amy: About 10 years ago, I very briefly dated someone who was 15 years younger than me -- I was 38 and he was 23. He pursued me.

Dear Amy: My daughter just announced her engagement to her boyfriend, “Clay.” They are both heavy pot users. Clay is also a convicted felon (for selling narcotics), a college dropout, and has psychiatric and physical health problems.
Dear Amy: I have been in a 20-year relationship with a wonderful man who has been there for me -- through thick and thin. We raised my children together and are now enjoying our grandchildren.
Dear Amy: I have read advice in your column suggesting that it is wisest to tell children about their adoption starting very young. My six-year-old twin grandchildren have never been told that their momma’s eggs came from an egg donor.
Dear Amy: My husband, kids, and I live in a different state than most of my family. We are planning a trip to my family’s state and would like to invite my parents and grandmothers to rent a cabin for a few nights.
Dear Amy: I am a 32-year-old woman with a 6-year-old son. I am in a relationship with “Larry,” who is 48.
Dear Amy: My younger sister is 54. She has been divorced three times and has a teenage daughter.
Dear Amy: After many years of exchanging gifts with my brother-in-law and his wife, my husband and I decided we didn’t want to do it anymore. We are trying to get rid of things.
Dear Amy: My girlfriend and I have been together for over 10 years and have three kids together, ages 7, 4, and 2 years old. Once our first was born, I gave up going out and drinking -- no complaints.
Well, I’m already hearing of people having rashes from poison ivy this spring. My mom was so allergic to poison ivy I still believe to this day she could have caught it by merely looking at the plants. I remember her being hospitalized once with poison ivy so bad on her hand that it resembled raw hamburger. My dad on the other hand could’ve rolled around in the stuff and never known it. One night a few years back I went to change a flat tire on our mobile deer blind which was still in the woods, and found it to be afloat in a sea of the healthiest poison ivy I’d ever seen. I chopped it down all around the tire, wore gloves and was pretty careful as I worked, but three or four days later I had a small patch of rash on one arm, the first time I ever had poison ivy.
