KU releases women’s basketball non-conference schedule

Head Coach Brandon Schneider has announced another challenging non-conference schedule that the Kansas Women’s Basketball team will face in the upcoming 2024-25 season.Highlighting the early season schedule is a matchup with national runner-up Iowa at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, three games at the Paradise Jam and a home game against Penn State in December.

Daniels, Neal named to 2024 Maxwell Award Watch List

For the second straight season, Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels and running back Devin Neal have been named to the preseason watch list for Maxwell Award, which was announced July 29.The Maxwell Award has been presented to the College Player of the Year since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert “Tiny” Maxwell, who was a former standout at Swarthmore College and a renowned sportswriter and football official.Daniels is back for his senior season at Kansas after throwing for 705 yards and five touchdowns in three games in 2023.

KU stadium renovations update

Kansas Athletic Director Travis Goff said in a meeting with local media in Lawrence July 25 that the intent is to have the first phase of renovations done at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in time for a week zero opener for the Jayhawks against Fresno State on Aug.

Witt Jr. hosts youth camp in support of Royals superfan with ALS

Chants of “BOB-BY, BOB-BY” filled the football field at Bishop Miege High School on Thursday morning, with about 400 kids shouting Bobby Witt Jr.’s name as he walked out to greet the attendees of his first youth baseball camp.The Royals’ superstar shortstop is no stranger to the sound of his name filling ballparks while fans stand on their feet.
