The Dodge City High school boys golf team shot a 318 and finished in first place at the Great Bend Invitational at Lark Barton Golf Club in Great Bend Monday, May 1. Dodge City won the team title with a 313.
The Lady Demons softball team was held to six hits and committed 14 errors and was swept by Garden City Tuesday, May 2. The Lady Demons dropped the opener 10-0-1 then lost the second contest 11-4.
The Dodge City High School baseball team extended their winning streak to four games with a doubleheader sweep of Garden City Tuesday May 2. The Red Demons held on to win game one 13-3 then took game two 5-1.
On Thursday April 27, the Kansas legislature passed a bill (S Sub for HB2138) that will allow local broadcasters to video stream all post-season high school events, regardless of exclusive agreements entered into by the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA). The House voted 85-39 and the Senate 30-9. The legislation will come into effect July 1 of this year.
