Dodge City women’s cross country continued to improve overall as they raced in their third meet of the season competing at the Emporia State Invite on Friday grabbing a second-place finish behind only the host school Emporia State.
Dodge City men’s soccer stepped back into conference play on Wednesday night and hosted rival Garden City and picked up their fourth-straight win over the Broncbusters behind a 2-0 decision. The Conquistadors after stalemate of a first half picked up the pace in the second half and secured the 2-0 win over Garden City to improve to 7-2 on the season and 2-1 in KJCCC action.
For the first time since 2016, the Dodge City volleyball team notched a W in the win against the Butler Grizzles claiming the KJCCC win in a five-set battle. The Conquistadors after dropping the first set against Butler battled back to take the next two and then stay composed as the match went to a fifth set which they earned the win in to win the match 23-25, 25-21, 25-14, 20-25, 18-16.

Dodge City men’s golf competed in their third tournament of the fall season and finished ninth as a team at the Farmers Insurance Sam Proal Invite in Pueblo, Colorado. The Conquistadors finished with a +17 three-round score of 881 to finish ninth place at the tournament with their lowest round coming in the second round with a 292.
The track surface was great after the rain received on Thursday night, keeping moisture throughout the night. There was great racing throughout the night with many tight finishes and side-by-side competition.
For the fourth straight game the Dodge City women’s soccer team took on a ranked KJCCC opponent this time hosting #6 Butler and playing the Grizzles to the wire but fell 2-0. The Conquistadors who had dropped eight of last nine meetings to Butler would play the Top 10 Grizzlies tough and their closest loss to Butler during the last 10 meetings.
