DCCC: Women’s golf opens fall season with second place finish at Central Christian Invite

On the golf course for the first time this fall season the Dodge City women’s golf team under first-year coach, Ty Wilson posted a second-place finish at the Central Christian Invite in McPherson, Kansas. The Conquistadors hit the links at Turkey Creek golf course in McPherson and carded a 36-hole team score of 682 to finish +106 for the tournament and earn a second place as a team. Conqs improved their team score from the first round by seven strokes in the second round.

DCCC: Men’s golf competes against NCAA DI competition at K-State Wildcat Invite

Dodge City men’s golf had the opportunity to compete against NCAA Division I competition as they were invited to the Kansas State Wildcat Invite in Manhattan playing at Colbert Hills golf course. The Conquistadors would show they can compete against high-level competition as they finished tied for 10th as a team out of the 15-team field which was all NCAA DI teams outside of the Conqs.

Sublette Larks cross country results for Sept. 10

The Sublette Larks Cross Country team had a very successful day in Montezuma on Saturday, Sept 10! In the middle school division, Marcus Lee was just out of medals in 11th place with his two mile time of 13:32.9, while Austin Ornelas finished 19th (14:18.2), Levi Penner was one place behind in 20th (14:52.6), and Brad Wright was 36th (16:01.6). The HS JV Girls all received medals that day: Lilli Mike finished second (28:28.6), Johanna Vera was 4th (31:24.8) and Yadira Lozano was 5th (31:54.5) overall.
