The Dodge City A’s split the weekend series with the Gameday Angels by winning their July 3 game with a score of 21-3. The A’s scored in the first inning when Brenden O’Sullivan grounded out and, in the process, allowed one run to score to help the A’s take a three-run lead.

The Dodge City A’s traveled to Liberal on July 4 and it was a heartbreaker for the A’s as they lost 8-7. Liberal trailed 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning when they hit a two-run homer to win the game.
Football camp season is in full swing across the state and this week in Dodge City coach Glenn O’Neil is getting athletes ready with his annual camp for middle schoolers. “We had between 42-45 on the first day of camp,” O’Neil said.
Mariah Hills Golf course hosted one of the qualifying events across the state on June 28. This event features over forty golfers across the state and several participants from the area or with ties to Dodge City Community College.
The National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) and Dodge City Raceway Park (DCRP) present the Wild West NTPA Grand Nationals -- two nights of competition July 8 and 9. The Dodge City Toros soccer team finished the regular season in first place and as a result qualified for the 2022 UPSL National Playoff. The Toros’ regular season record was six wins, three draws and one loss.
