Locals to participate in 8-Man All Star Game

Many area athletes and coaches have been chosen to participate in the 2022 Kansas 8-Man All-Star Games which will take place in Beloit on Saturday, June 11. Local players representing division one include Torren Haynes, Korben Clawson and Cullen Lumry from Meade High School, Brady Deges from South Gray High School, Brayden Bergkamp and Braydon Patterson from Hodgeman County High School and Kolten Bennett from Spearville.

BHS Baseball: Bucklin players 2022 Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches 1-2A All-State State Baseball Team

Bucklin High School seniors Nate Bowman and Nathan Imel have been selected to the 1st Team 2022 Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches 1-2A All-State State Baseball Team. Bowman, the KABC 1-2A Co-Pitcher of the Year, was the ace on the mound for Bucklin again this season, striking out 107 of the 210 batters faced and tallied a 1.189 ERA.

Several Red Demon track athletes have punched their ticket to State: Sophia Jones, Joslyn Scheck, Cierra Bookless, Kya Edwards, Josh Gonzales, Alexis Romo, David Ultreras, Olivia Buddy, Mataya Clark, Kya Edwards, Vincent Ortiz, Mohammed Suheyyb, Maggie Beatriz, Martin Marquez, Matt Banuelos, Alex Gere, Tristen Buller and Cristian Erives. Ashland track athletes

Several athletes from Ashland have punched their ticket to State. Camdyn Cunningham (pictured here) qualified for state in the high jump and 200 hurdles.
