BHS Softball: Lady Aces sweeps Ness City

In game one the Lady Aces jumped out to an early lead over Ness City and took home a 15-3 victory on Tuesday. The Lady Aces scored on an error and a walk by Melina Pena in the first inning. The Lady Aces notched six runs in the second inning and the big bats in the inning were led by walks by Natalie Dale, Emalea Warden, and Pena and a double by Halie Feikert.

DCHS Softball: Lady Demons Claws Back, but Falls Against Garden City

Dodge City Lady Demons Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-5 loss to Garden City in game one. Garden City scored on a single by Angel Serrano and an error in the first inning. The Lady Demons struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Garden City, giving up 11 runs. Garden City got things moving in the first inning, when Serrano singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Garden City scored four runs in the seventh inning. Garden City’s big inning was driven by singles by Gabby Ortiz, Jesykah Foster, and Brie Manwarren. Macy Musslin took the loss for Dodge City. The right-hander lasted seven innings, allowing 15 hits and 11 runs while striking out four and walking one. The Lady Demons launched one home run on the day. Camryn Lenz put one out in the seventh inning. Brittany Lomas led the Lady Demons with two hits in three at bats.

DCCC: Pair of dominant pitching performances lead Conqs to doubleheader sweep of Garden City

Dodge City baseball team utilized a pair of dominant pitching performances to take two at home against Garden City on April 30 picking up 1-0 and 4-1 wins. The wins gave the Conquistadors a 3-1 series win marking the first series win for the Conqs over the Broncbusters of Garden City since 2018.
