It was a special night on April 23 as the Dodge City Community College Athletic Department welcomed back several former football players for a reunion to honor former head coach Jerry Cullen with hall of fame status as part of the Class of 2022.

Tuesday’s game against Little River was a heartbreaker for the Lancers, as they lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat in game one and lost 17-2 in game two. In the first game, Little River trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Dalton Mantz doubled on the first pitch at bat, scoring two runs.
Sixth Man Strategies announced that members of the 2022 Kansas Basketball National Championship team will extend their Barnstorming Tour to include six additional communities, with plans to add additional locations in June and July.

Last Friday the Lady Demons took part in a swimming meet in Salina. The Lady Demons took home a 5th place finish against some tough competition. The Lady Demons brought home some medals with a 2nd place finish in the 500 freestyle by Ashlyn Armstrong. The Lady Demons took home a 2nd place in the 400 free relay by the team of Eva Friess, Ashlyn Armstrong, Paige Mink and Faith Wodziak.
The Lady Aces swept Chaparral in a two-game series Tuesday night. In the first game, the Lady Aces featured a strong performance by Halie Feikert tallying four hits and leading the Lady Aces to a 16-7 win over Chaparral.
Dodge City’s track and field team was led by a national qualifying performance at the Thunderbird Classic hosted by Cloud County in Concordia on Saturday as they continued the outdoor season. The quartet of Brianisha Rolling, Machala Hengen, Krissalynn Henderson, and On’Hay Phillips raced to a time of 48.17 in the 4x100 meter relay and qualified for NJCAA National Outdoor Championships with the performance.
