DCCC: Softball falls to Seward County in tight conference doubleheader

Dodge City softball team played host to Seward County for a Jayhawk Conference showdown on Saturday and dropped a pair of tight contests despite holding early leads, falling 7-5 and 6-3. The Conqs with the losses fall to 7-10 on the season and 3-2 in KJCCC action with their next contest a makeup game at home against Northwest Kansas Tech on Tuesday, March 8 at 3 p.m.

Diamonds to hold tryouts

Diamond Athletics Cheer & Dance has been well established in the Dodge City community and surrounding areas for many years now. For over 15 years it has been a place where kids of all ages can go to learn how to stunt, flip and tumble and learn all the various styles of dance from hip hop to ballet.

DCHS: Boy’s basketball keep postseason going in win over Topeka

The Dodge City Red Demons boy’s basketball team hosted Topeka High to open postseason basketball Wednesday. The Red Demons entered as the 3rd seed in 6A West. The Red Demons opened with a 18-4 advantage over the Topeka High through the first quarter. Topeka High fought hard in the second and third quarters but the Red Demons entered the fourth quarter up 52-36 and out-scored their opponent 21-11 to end the game with a 73-47 victory.
