The Dodge City women’s basketball team after their first playoff win since 2004-05 traveled to Hutchinson to take on the No. 25 Blue Dragons in the Region VI Tournament Quarterfinals and the Conquistadors fell 72-52 to cap the season.

The Southwest Storm won their home opener and first game ever at United Wireless Arena 55-32 over the Arlington Longhorns and in front of a huge crowd. The Storm’s defense set the tone for the game from the start and the offense did a good job of moving the ball.
The Dodge City High School girl’s basketball team punched their ticket to the 6A sub-state championship game with a 63-31 win over Wichita North on Tuesday night at the Dodge City High School Fieldhouse.
Kolten Bennett of Spearville signed with Kansas Wesleyan University to play football. Bennett was a first team all-league on offense and defense. He was also selected to several all-state teams. He was selected to play in the 8-Man All-Star game on June 11 in Beloit. Bennett will be joining a Kansas Wesleyan team that has made the national playoffs the past few years.
After opening the season with their first 10 games on the road the Dodge City softball team got a taste of home cooking over the weekend, and it started with Conference action as the Conquistadors grabbed a 19-3 win over Northwest Kansas Tech.
Dodge City women’s basketball continues to add to their best season in years as they hosted their first postseason game since the 2004-05 season and picked up a 70-62 win over Cloud County in the first round of the Region VI Tournament.
Dodge City softball team was in action on Sunday for a doubleheader in non-conference action and earned a pair of wins over Northeastern winning 15-9 and 4-0. The wins move the Conquistadors to 5-8 on the season as they’ve won three-straight games and will be back in action on Wednesday, March 2nd at Garden City for a Conference doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm.
Dodge City baseball team hit the road for their second road trip to Texas of the season and faced off with the #20 ranked JUCO Perfect Game Preseason Top 25 team, Midland in a four-game series and came away with a series win taking three of four games.
