The Dodge City Lady Demons basketball team improved to 14-3 overall, 3-2 in WAC play, with a 66-33 win over Garden City High School recently. The Lady Demons were shooting 57% on the floor and 50% behind the arc in the game while Garden shot 34% on the floor.
Little River got the better of Spearville twice as they won the boys game 50-36 and scored another win in the girls game, winning by 47-39. Ranked No.
The Bucklin Red Aces won a nailbiter recently in a 45- 44 win over Hodgeman County. Nathan Bowman made 4 3-pointers in the third quarter to help Bucklin build a 32-28 lead with 2:38 left.
The Dodge City Red Demons boys’ basketball team improved to 15-2 overall, 4-1 in the WAC with a 76-65 win over Garden City recently. In the matchup, the Red Demons shot 55% on the floor and shot 43% behind the arc. Garden City was able to get an advantage in rebounding, but the Red Demons didn’t let that be a huge factor in the game. The Red Demons had five players score in the double figures.
The Dodge City Red Demons bowling team took part in the WAC tournament and the Girls finished the season third in WAC and the Boys fourth. Auston Barnett and Kaden Webb earned WAC Honorable Mention and Camryn Lenz and Jade Rabe earned all WAC honors. These honors are based on their season average in WAC events.
