Local players make 8-Man football All-Star game
The Kansas Eight Man Football Association (KEMFA) coaches met on Saturday at Tescott to select the all-star participants for the 37th Annual Kansas 8-Man All-Star Games which will take place on Saturday, June 11 at Trojan Field in Beloit, Kans.
Dodge City Invitational brings us states best
Dodge City High School was filled with some of the state’s best wrestlers as well as a team from Texas and Colorado on Saturday. No. 1 in 3A and No. 2 in All-Class Hoxie won the team title competition for boys. Emporia won the team title in the girls tournament.
Bucklin beats Attica
Bucklin Red Aces made the trip east to take on a very talented Attica team. However Bucklin proved to be a better team by winning 64-49. The difference in the game was Bucklin scoring more points in the paint than Attica.

Dodge City High School competed in the Bishop Carroll 30-team Bakers Invitational. The format was 12 Baker teams game.

Spearville defeats Ashland 26-25
ASHLAND — The Spearville Lancers traveled down to Ashland to face the Bluejays and it was a battle but at the end of the night the Lancers won 26-25. Easton Shenk and Logan Hubbell finished the night with 7 points each for Spearville. Lathan McPhail led the charge for the Bluejays. Lathan finished the night with 8 points, 5 steals,7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Ashland falls to 3-4 on the year as Spearville improved to 3-4 on the season.
DCCC falls to Colby for first conference defeat
It was a Top 25 showdown in the Jayhawk Conference on the road for the No. 5 Dodge City Conquistador men's basketball team as they took on No. 21 Colby Trojans on Saturday and the Conqs saw the Trojans end their 11-game win streak as Dodge City fell 107-85 on the road.
Red Demons take second in Salina
The Dodge City High School swim team traveled to Salina to compete against some very competitive teams such as Junction City, Salina Central and Salina South. The Red Demons were competitive and finished in 2nd place.
Red Demons improve their record to 8-0
The Colby Eagles boys were unable to keep up with the Dodge City Red Demons in this game as the Red Demons improved to 8-0 on the season with a 62-45 victory. This is the best start for the Demons since the 1997-98 season.
