The Red Demons boys wrestling team traveled to Gardner Edgerton to compete in one of the nations premier tournaments. The tournament included national powerhouses Allen High School and Paducah Tilghman among many others.
Kansas State coach Chris Klieman didn’t have a whole lot of time Sunday to mull over the Wildcats’ upcoming trip to Houston to face LSU in the Texas Bowl. The game is almost a month away — 8 p.m.
BUCKLIN — Bucklin High School boys and girls basketball teams had a difficult night against Hoisington. The Lady Aces tried to put up a fight but Hoisington won 66-20. The Red Aces had troubles hitting in the 3-point range and as a result, lost 77-64.
The weather alarms were going off across southwest Kansas as the Southwest Storm signed Bowen Smith and Dillon Burkhard. Smith was a member of the Dodge City Community College football team a year ago and Burkhard was a member of the DCCC football team before he went to Southeastern University.

Dodge City High School boys soccer coach Saul Hernandez, was named National High School Boys’ Soccer Coach of the Year and now his story and love of soccer is being shared with coaches and players across the nation through the NHSCA quarterly magazine. Last year, coach Hernandez, who coaches the boys and girls soccer programs at Dodge City, led the boys’ team to its second state title in the last fi�ve years. The Red Demons were a perfect 20-0. Dodge City is the only program in Kansas boys’ soccer history to have two different undefeated state championship seasons. Over the past fi�ve seasons, Hernandez has led the boys’ program to a 91-11 record. KANSAS
The Red Demons had a great season this year and due to this several players from the team earned All-State Honors. Emanuel Aguilar was named 1st Team All-State Kicker.
