Aguilar named NJCAA DI Special Teams “Player of the Week”

For the first time this year Dodge City athletics has a an athlete earn NJCAA National “Player of the Week” honors and it comes in the sport of football as Emanuel Aguilar earns the NJCAA National Special Teams “Player of the Week.” The honor is the third time a KJCCC athlete has been selected for the award this season.Aguilar and the Conquistadors earned a 25-24 come-from-behind victory over Iowa Central most recently to improve to 3-2 on the season.

Football returns to NJCAA DI rankings, comes in at #14

After an electric come-from-behind victory on the gridiron against Iowa Central the Dodge City football team is now 3-2 on the season and has returned to the Top 15 NJCAA Division I rankings.The Conquistadors find themselves in the rankings for the second time this season as they check in at #14 in the latest NJCAA DI rankings and are one of five KJCCC schools in the rankings.The Conqs have wins against Tyler and Iowa Central at home, along with a road win over #8 Highland by a combined seven points overcoming trailing in all three games.
