KSHSAA approves more games in 2025-26

The KSHSAA Board of Directors voted to allow high school basketball teams to play 23 games during the regular season starting with the 2025-26 season.A proposal initiated by the Kansas Coaches Association and advanced to the Board of Directors agenda by the KSHSAA Executive Board, changes the allowable games a student may participate in from 20 to 23, not counting the postseason.

Volleyball moves to 3-0 in KJCCC action with sweep of Pratt

Dodge City volleyball rolled to a 3-0 start in KJCCC action as they swept Pratt at home in three sets 25-19, 25-22, and 25-10.The Conquistadors with the victory move to 12-8 on the season and 3-0 in KJCCC action, while having won five in a row in the series against Pratt all in straight sets.The evening started with a back-and-forth start to the first set until the Conqs mounted a run that would lead 18-13 seeing Pratt call a timeout.

Men’s golf finishes third at Sam Proal Insurance Invitational in Colo.

Dodge City men’s golf team traveled to Pueblo, Colorado to continue the fall season as the Conquistadors competed in their second tournament of the year finishing third at the Sam Proal Insurance Invitational hosted by Colorado State University-Pueblo.The Conqs would start the tournament hot and finish the first round with a 283-team score going five-under to sit in second place by just one stroke.
