Charles W. Hensley, 93, died August 30, 2012 at Hays Medical Complex. He was born May 31, 1919 in rural Ford County to Garrett and Ida (Ireland) Hensley. He was a lifetime Ford County resident.
Charles was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of Ford Community Church and St. Bernard Masonic Lodge #222. He married Evelyn Emma Lovette on February 5, 1939 at Plevna, KS. She died May 15, 2010.
Survivors include 3 sons: Dallas and Lyle (Sara) of Ford, and Gary (Lori) of Ness City; 2 brothers: Roy and Max Hensley of Ford; 3 sisters: Dorlene Nolder of Dallas, TX, Alma Kirk of Bucklin, and Sharon Stephenson of Ford; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at Ford Community Church with Pastor Ryan Ausmus officiating.
Visitation is Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Minnis Mortuary, Bucklin. Graveside will be at Ford Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites. Memorials are suggested to Ford Community Church c/o Minnis Mortuary, PO Box 516, Bucklin KS 67834
