Clifton Max Browne

DODGE CITY – Clifton Max Browne, 77 passed away peacefully on

July 29th, 2022 surrounded by family at his home in Dodge City. He was born on October 16th, 1944 in Liberal, Kansas to Clifford and Maxine (Pritchard)

Browne. He grew up as the only son on the family farm, and put in the work to show for it. In 1964, he married Nancy (Peterson) Browne in Dodge City. They were blessed with two children, Tana and Kevin Browne. Cliff was a hardworking man, always providing for the family first. He worked in many different skills, but was exceptionally proficient in wood-working, even owning his own business. He believed in the solid foundation of a good education and a strong faith. He spoke his mind confidently, and was not afraid to ruffle feathers. He was kind and generous. He could be stoic, but his dry and sarcastic humor was always present. He loved whole-heartedly and was an exceptional Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Papa. His shoes are some that none can fill, and he will be forever missed.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Tana Browne and Kevin (Kindra) Browne; his grandchildren, Shae (Dakin) Aguilar, Roark (Lauren), Neelie, and Ryker Browne; and his greatgrandchildren, Eden and Gordon Aguilar.

The family has held a private service. They request that contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
