Senior Serenity Larson breezes past spectators at the Hays Invitational on Sept. 19. Girls varsity came out taking second of five teams and boys varsity took third of seven teams. Larson took first place with a time of 20:14:40 for the girls, and senior Norma Rodrigues took eighth with 21:30.80. Senior Martin Marquez took sixth with a time of 17:14.70 for the boys, and junior David Ultreras took eleventh with a time of 17:36:80. The next invitational for the boys and girls cross country team will be on Sept. 23 at Lake Afton in Goddard.
