Miss Kitty Christina Haselhorst presented Miss Kansas Ayana Hensley with a beautiful corsage made by Jo Toothaker from Confetti’s Party Store. The last Dodge City woman to win Miss Kansas was Candice Cae Pyle in 1988. Hensley shared the good news that she had been accepted into her graduate program of choice at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., just hours before her appearance at the city commission meeting.
