Donald Roland ”Don” Myers

Donald Roland “Don” Myers, 81, died February 2, 2022 at Life Care Center of Andover, KS. He was born on January 3, 1941 at Dodge City, KS, the son of Roland and Dorothy (Schlereth) Myers. His mother died in childbirth and Don was raised by his father and a wonderful step mother, Anna Mary (Novack) Myers.

He attended Sacred heart School. He joined the Marines in 1958 until 1962. After the service he worked in the Dodge City School System as a custodian and moved to Liberal, KS and worked in the school system there. He also worked as a salesman for Oxford Chemical Company for several ears. Don married Linda Ruth Hasty on July 2, 1982 in Liberal, KS. He started his own business, Myers Carpet Cleaning in 1983, worked that until 2004. He then worked at Seward County Community College until he retired in 2008.

He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, and watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers in his free time. Survivors include his wife, Linda Myers of Augusta, KS, son, David Myers and wife, Diana, Dodge City, KS, one sister, Mary Ann Myers of Dodge City, two brothers, Leslie Myers of Branson, MO, Mike Myers of Hollister, MO, step granddaughter, Heather Kinder of Dodge City, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Adam Ray Myers, sister, Shirley Keith, two brothers, David Eugene Myers, Kenny Myers, grandson David Eugene Myers, granddaughter, Summer Lee Myers, father and mother in law Dale and Dorothy Hasty, sister in law, Cheryl Hasty, three brother in laws; Terry Lauber, Donald Keith and Leslie Hasty.

Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at a later date in Liberal, KS.
