Gerald D. Abbey Sept. 27, 1937-Dec. 7, 2022 Gerald Duane Abbey passed away at the age of 85 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gerald was born in Cimarron, Kansas. He attended Dodge City High School and graduated in 1956. In 1962 he married the love of his life, Ramona Killingsworth. They moved to Denver, Colorado where Gerald worked as an envelope salesman. Gerald had many hobbies and interests including horses, auto mechanics, fishing, and camping. In 1979 he was transferred to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gerald and Ramona continued their many activities and both developed a love of skiing. Gerald was a very active member of Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque for over 40 years. He and Ramona spent many years doing missionary trips to Panama. Gerald is predeceased by his wife of 56 years Ramona Abbey, brothers Glee Abbey and Owen Abbey, and is survived by his daughter Connie Shaw of Albuquerque, NM, granddaughter Heather Stubblefield (Clay) of Las Vegas, NV, brother Thayne Abbey (Peg) of Dodge City, KS, and wife of 1 year, Linda Punter-Abbey, of Albuquerque, NM.
