On Wednesday, Oct. 23, Dodge City Community College (DC3) hosted a group of Dodge City High School (DCHS) students for Manufacturing Day, at the Dodge City Civic Center. Five seniors received $500 scholarships at the luncheon event to attend DC3 for the fall semester. Scholarship recipients include (pictured above from left to right) Juan Barrios, Modesto Treto, Savannah Barr, Jair Cruz De La Cruz, and Mario Castro, all from Dodge City High School. Before and after the scholarship presentation, students networked with local companies including Curtis Machine, Broce Manufacturing, Hilmar Cheese, and Roto-Mix, with approximately 77 students taking part in the event.[PHOTO BY Alba Gutierrez-Ortiz]
