Fort Mann historical marker on Kettle Way in Dodge City. The sign reads: Just south of this point, Fort Mann was established as a repair depot for wagons in April, 1847 during the Mexican War by teamster Daniel Mann. Later it was occupied by the U.S. Army troops from time to time.
