James R. “Swede” Benear, 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at the Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade, Kan. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery in Meade. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade is in charge of arrangements.
