Joseph Michael Waldron

Copeland – Joseph Mic h a e l Waldron, 41, died June 11, 2022 in Haskell County. He was born on July 30, 1980 in Dodge City, the son of Larry Dean “Butch” and Ruth Anne (Martinez) Waldron.

Joe attended Copeland Elementary School, South Gray Junior High, and South Gray High School, graduating in 1999. He then attended the University of Kansas and later Johnson County Community College where he studied electronics. Joe had recently returned to Waldron Farms and started farming. He enjoyed target shooting and four wheeling, and he loved his family.

Joe is survived by his mother, Ruth Anne Waldron of Dodge City; his sister, Elise Waldron and husband Matt Harrop of Lawrence; a niece, Emma Harrop of Lawrence; aunts, Catherine Keen and husband Kenneth of Hutchinson, Laura Toles of Copeland, Bernice Waldron of Plains, Sherrill Martinez of Lenexa, and Susan Riphahn and husband Jim of Rapid City, South Dakota; uncles, Thomas Waldron and wife Robin of Sublette, Butch Martinez and wife Linda of Copeland, and Tony Martinez and wife Geri-Lynn of Saranac, New York. He is preceded in death by his father; one aunt, Barbara Waldron; and three uncles, Mark Martinez, Mick Waldron, and Duane Waldron.

A graveside service at Copeland Cemetery is being planned for the fall. There is no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Society in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
