DODGE CITY- Kathie Schlereth, 79, died Friday, July 1, 2022 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.

She was born on August 27, 1942 the daughter of James Raymond and Louella Mae (McMullen) Maas at Dodge City, Kansas. She was a lifetime area resident and worked for Air Midwest Airlines. Later on she went to work for Loren Jones Agency for many years. After retiring, she volunteered for Hospice of the Prairie and the United Methodist Church. She loved to keep busy and would spend her free time playing dominoes at the Senior Center.

On March 2, 1990 she married Raymond G. Schlereth at Dodge City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2008.

She is survived by; her brother, Roger Maas, Mesa, Arizona; 2 step-daughters, Ann Looney, Jetmore, Kansas and Elaine Felver and husband Jon, Goodland, Kansas; 5 step-grandchildren; and 2 step-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Jim Maas.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City with Rev. Dick Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at the Bucklin Cemetery, Bucklin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from noon to 7:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
