Lois Virginia (Davis) Holden, 90, died Aug. 20, 2012 at Western Plains Medical Complex , Dodge City. She was born October 22, 1921 on a farm north of Haggard in Gray County, Kan. to William Galen and Leona Belle (Taylor) Davis.
She graduated from Montezuma High School and attended Dodge City Junior College. Lois retired after working at Boot Hill for many years.
She is survived by a sister Wilma Rose Bryan of Dodge City; nephew David Bryan and wife Shelley of Cimarron; niece Malinda Bryan-Smith and husband Jeff of Overland Park, Kansas; nephew-in-law Danny Sakata of Parkville, Missouri; three great nephews; and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and two nieces.
Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
