DODGE CITY – Mary Louise Gall, 75, died November 27, 2021 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on May 18, 1946 in San Fransisco, California the daughter of Victor Maxine Burton and Mary Ann (Casey) Rosproy.
At a young age, Louise moved to Kansas with her family; growing up in Dodge City, Garden City and Spearville. She also attended St. Mary’s of the Plains in Dodge City. On September 27, 1968, Louise married Kenneth Gall in Cimarron. Together they lived in Wichita, Houston, Texas, and Denver, Colorado before moving to Sublette where they owned Gall Agency Insurance Company. Louise then moved back to Dodge City in the late 90s after Kenny’s death.
Louise loved traveling with Kenny, especially their trips to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, taking care of her plants and rose bushes. Louise also loved spending time with her family, especially her three granddaughters.
Louise was also a long time volunteer with the Dodge City Peaceful Tribe, a nonprofit organization in Dodge City. She was also a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
She is survived by her son, Chris Gall and companion Stephanie Nestor of Dodge City; daughter, Gina Gall of Titusville, Florida; three granddaughters, Alexandra Gall, Georgina Gall, and Whitney Roberts; and two brothers, Bill Burton of Dodge City and John Burton of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gall; father, Victor Burton; mother, Mary Ann Rosproy; and step father, Eugene Rosproy.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a vigil service to start at 7:00 PM.
