At a joint meeting Aug. 1 the Dodge City Commission approved ordinance 3777 establishing a Hilmar bioscience development district and the Ford County Commission approved resolution 2022-27 consenting to the establishment of that district.

Judith Ann (Ogden) Randall passed away July 19, 2022, at the Senior Living Unit in the Ashland Health Center. Judi was born April 10, 1944, in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Rev. Seymour Duane Ogden and Margaret (Stillman) Ogden. Her father was a Minister, and shortly after her birth, the family moved to Princeton, IL, then, after a few years there, they moved to Osborne, KS where Judi attended school through the 4th grade. They then moved to Sabetha, KS where they remained for many years, and where Judi graduated from High School in 1962.
John “Jack” Lawrence Turcotte, age 71, of Topeka, Kansas, went to be home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 30th, 2022 after a long battle with heart failure. Jack was born in Burlington, Vermont on March 17th, 1951 to John Caldwell Turcotte and Virginia (Chase) Turcotte.
