Dodge City – Pauline Schnitzler, 89, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 25, 2022. She was born on October 14, 1932 in Spearville, the daughter of Albert and Jettie King. Pauline lived most of her life in Dodge City. She worked many years in civil service for the Air Force, several years for the Dodge City Inn, as well as office staff for Grace Community Church. Pauline enjoyed life and involved herself in Bible reading, and sewing – especially making quilts.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Carter of Washington; her son, Alex Ray of Oregon; her stepson, Edward Barnes of Colorado; her stepdaughter Roberta Luna of California; her stepdaughter Linda Hungerford of Colorado; and her stepdaughter Peggy Ratts of Kansas. She leaves behind a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty King of Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Albert King; her mother, Jettie King Clevenger; her stepfather, David Clevenger; her husband, Jesse Ray; her husband William Barnes; her husband Everett Schnitzler; her brother, Aaron King; and her son, Willard Ray.
Funeral service will be held at Grace Community Church in Dodge City on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kirk Larson presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from noon to 8:00 PM.
