DODGE CITY- Richard “Dick” Stone, 81 died Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Greensburg, Kansas.

He was born March 9, 1941at Bucklin, Kansas the son of Delmar T. and Susie E. (Zimmerman) Stone. He was a lifetime area resident and was a longtime truck driver. Dick enjoyed constructing models, playing cards, piecing puzzles together, was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed farming when time allowed.

On May 9, 1975 he married Loretta Bliss at Wichita, Kansas. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2019.

Survivors include: 4 children, Sherry Carpenter, Dodge City; Melissa Langlois, Dodge City, Stephen Carpenter and wife Kelli, Hutchinson and Darla Brozek and husband Rod, Protection; a daughter-inlaw, Lisa Carpenter, Dodge City; 11 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Roy and Mike Stone and 2 granddaughters, Chandra Stone and Laken Seyb.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City with Scott Tilley officiating. Inurnment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
