MINNEOLA Ross G. Skeen, 66, died Monday, March 14, 2022 at Minneola Long Term Care, Minneola.
He was born on October 5, 1955 the son of Ray Gilbert and Melda Fern (Anderson) Skeen at Bucklin, Kansas. He was a lifetime area resident. And worked as a farmer for the family farm.
He was very involved in his community, he was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, and a former member of Clark County Fair Board, Clark County Soil Conservation, Clark County Fire & EMS, Boy Scout Leader, and the Dodge City Schrine Clowns. Ross was a proud supporter of the Minneola Wildcats especially if his grandchildren were involved. He enjoyed farming, fishing, visiting with people, attending school events and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Survivors include: a son, Cameron Skeen and fiancée Erica McLean, Minneola; a daughter, Mackenzie Olmstead and husband Adam, Buffalo, Oklahoma; a sister, Ramola Norton, Minneola; 12 grandchildren; niece, Jennifer Norton; nephew, Will Norton and wife Tiffany; and 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Dan Norton.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Minneola United Methodist church with Pastor Michael Perrotti officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola. Burial will follow the service in the Appleton Township Cemetery, Minneola.
