Tyler Joseph Hofmann

Dodge City -Tyler Hofmann, 35, passed away March 6, 2022, at the Denver Hospice Inpatient Center in Denver, Colorado. He was born October 27, 1986, in Dodge City, Kansas to Bob and Martha (Fordham) Hofmann.

Tyler grew up in Dodge City and attended Dodge City schools and Dodge City Community College. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 2005. He worked for B&B Theatres during high school and became the manager after graduating high school. He then worked for Sears in the Village Square Mall as the Assistant Manager.

Tyler was a die-hard fan of the Chiefs, Royals, K-State Wildcats and of any team playing KU. He enjoyed playing video games and watching sci-fi, action, and comedy movies. He especially loved his dog, Pez, who still goes to his bedroom door wondering why he’s not there with a treat waiting for her. His passing has left a large hole in the hearts of his family, neighbors and friends that will never fully heal. His sense of humor and willingness to help anyone who needed it will be sorely missed.

Tyler is survived by his father, Bob Hofmann of Dodge City and a brother, A.J. Hofmann, Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be held at the Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with family present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00AM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel, 1901 6th Avenue, Dodge City, Ks, 67801.
