Wilmer Guy “Bob” Moore

Wilmer Guy "Bob" Moore, 92, of Houghton Lake, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at King Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre.

He was born March 18, 1920, in Havana, Illinois to Frank and Bertha (Edlin) Moore. Bob was a graduate of Havana High School and served in the Army during WW II.  He married Margaret Lyn Long, in Dodge City, Kansas in 1950. Bob ran the McKinley-Winter Livestock Restaurant for many years before moving on to other endeavors. Bob and Margaret Lyn moved to Alma, Michigan, in 1992. In 2006, they moved to Midland, Michigan, and were residents at Washington Woods. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Alma, Michigan.

Mr. Moore is survived by his loving daughter, Melissa (Jim) Seitz of Higgins Lake, grandson, Matt Seitz of Midland, and brother, Donald Moore of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lyn Moore, granddaughter, Nicole, one brother and three sisters.

Private family services will be conducted with interment of Mr. Moore's cremains in the Pennington Memorial Gardens at First Presbyterian Church in Alma. Memorial contributions in Bob's memory may be made to The Alma First Presbyterian Church, 495 Charles Avenue, Alma, Michigan, 48801 or the Higgins Lake Foundation, P.O.
