Bucklin Lady Aces jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first quarter and then hung on for a 50-35 victory over Spearville in the Jan. 28 championship game of the SPIAA league girls basketball tournament at the United Wireless Arena.

DCHS boys swimming team finishes 13th

The Red Demons boys swimming team didn’t score a lot of points but did improve when they finished thirteenth out of fifteen teams in the Wichita Northwest meet Jan. 28 in Wichita.
