DCCC: Men’s basketball comeback falls short against Cowley

Looking to bounce back after a tough road loss the Dodge City men’s basketball team ran into a feisty Cowley Tigers team and would drop their second straight contest falling 79-74. The loss moves the Conquistadors to 14-5 on the season and 10-3 in KJCCC action, and the game is the tenth in the last 14 meetings with the Tigers that has been decided by single digits.

DCCC: Women’s basketball rolls past Cowley for tenth straight win

A season-best performance in many ways leads to the Dodge City women’s basketball team picking up their tenth straight win and 13th straight win at home beating Cowley 108-74. The Conquistadors with the win improved to 17-2 overall and 12-1 in KJCCC action.

Red Demon wrestlers go 4-2 in duals

The Dodge City Red Demons competed in six duals this past week finishing 4-2 on the week. Thursday they faced off against #2 ranked Garden City in the Battle for the Bell dual. The Buffaloes were able to keep the bell with a 53-11 victory over the Red Demons.

Lady Demons continue WAC dominance

The Western Athletic Conference, considered one of the toughest if not the toughest girls wrestling conference in the state, featured the #1, #3 and #4 ranked teams in the state. The Lady Demons have not lost a WAC dual in three years.

IRS Free File launch aims to save taxpayers hard-earned dollars

The Internal Revenue Service’s Free File Guided Tax Preparation service is live and ready for taxpayers to use. Free File went live Jan. 13, 2023, 10 days prior to the 2023 filing season start date. The IRS starts accepting individual tax returns on Jan. 23.
