Bandits earn first win in history of the club
The Kansas Bandits secured their first win in team history on Saturday Jan. 7 by beating Colorado Inferno 9-4.
McCarthy elected U.S. House Speaker
California Representative Kevin McCarthy was finally elected U.S. House Speaker on the fifteenth ballot with 216 votes compared to 212 for New York Democrat Hakeem Jeffries and six Republican holdouts voting “present.”

Dodge City Community College releases Fall 2022 honor rolls
Dodge City Community College (DC3) is pleased to announce the fall 2022 President’s and Vice President’s Honor Rolls. President’s Honor Roll Students selected for the President’s Honor Roll must maintain a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.8 or above on a 4.0-scale and must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester.
Free Development Screening Jan. 20
Free Developmental Screening Planned Arrowhead West Infant-Toddler Services will be hosting a free screening clinic for children from birth to 3 years of age in Dodge City to help parents determine if their child’s development is age appropriate. The screening is planned for Friday, Jan. 20 at the Church of the Nazarene, 1700 W Ross Blvd. Appointments are necessary so appropriate screening can be accomplished. Areas to be screened include hearing, cognitive, motor, self-help, language, vision, social and emotional. The staff will assist in the identification of any special needs your child may have and in locating services to meet those needs.
