DCCC: Women’s basketball wins top 25 road tussle with Butler

The Dodge City women’s basketball team hit the road for the last time before Christmas break and picked up their second Top 25 win under Head Coach, Landon Steele beating #23 Butler 69-63. The win moves the Conquistadors to 10-2 on the season and 5-1 in the KJCCCC, while marking the third straight win in the series against Butler.

DCCC: Pair of men’s soccer players earn All-Region Honors

A pair of Dodge city men’s soccer players have earned Region VI All-Region honors after strong seasons for the Conquistadors. Yanis Debbarh and Pedro Lorencatto have been selected as first team and second team All-Region, respectively after helping the Conqs finish 10-7 for the 2022 season.

Ms. Wheelchair Kansas seeking nominations

Ms. Wheelchair Kansas, Inc. is currently searching for women of achievement, who are wheelchair mobile, to serve as contestants in the 18th Annual Ms. Wheelchair Kansas event. Contestants can be nominated by a person or group or can choose to participate in the program. Organizations and companies are being encouraged to nominate women who are passionate, dynamic, articulate, and who have a message to share throughout the state. MWKS is also seeking nominations for the Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas program that celebrates young spirited girls, ages 5-12, who are wheelchair mobile.

Cargill Currents partners with Kansas to improve watershed health

Global Water Challenge (GWC) and Cargill announced in a recent press release the launch of six new partnerships with leading water stewardship organizations in the U.S. Kansas Alliance for Wetlands & Streams was one of the non-profit organizations selected to partner with the new program, which will address water challenges faced by communities in Cargill’s priority U.S.
