Kansas Water Office releases 2022 Kansas Water Plan

The Kansas Water Office (KWO) released the finalized 2022 Kansas Water Plan (KWP) this week. This is the first comprehensive water plan for the state of Kansas to be released since 2009 and provides a roadmap for navigating the vast array of water issues throughout the state.

DCCC: Women’s soccer secures two wins over rival Garden City

Dodge City women’s soccer team picked up not only one win but two in the same day over beating rival Garden City 2-1 in overtime and 2-0. The 2-1 decision came in the regularly scheduled contest as the Conquistadors came from behind to win early in overtime over the Broncbusters.

DCCC: Volleyball cruises to straight set sweep over Pratt on the road

For the fourth time in the last five games, the Dodge City volleyball team put a mark in the win column as they earned a straight-set win over Pratt on the road. The Conquistadors cruised to a 3-0 win over Pratt on the road winning 25-13, 25-11, and 25-20 moving their record to 19-7 on the season and 8-5 in KJCCC action.

Charles Edwin “Ed” Molitor

Offerle - Ed Molitor, 95, of Offerle, Kansas passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Manor of the Plains in Dodge City, Kansas. He was born on February 18, 1927 at Offerle, Kansas the son of Charles Carl and Lenora Alice Baier Molitor in their home south of Offerle. Ed attended school at Offerle and graduated from high school there. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II working in the medical field. After the war was over, he came back to Offerle and got involved in farming with his Father. He met Peggy Herzog, his future wife, and they were married on October 1, 1953. They had four children Kirk, Eric, Aaron and Sarah. Ed and Peggy were married for 67 years before Peggy’s passing in December 2020. Ed and Peggy were long time members of Zion Lutheran
