DCCC: Women’s golf dominates first conference competition of spring season

The Dodge City women’s golf team dominated the first Jayhawk Match of the spring season as they opened their spring season at home at Mariah Hills golf course in Dodge City. The ladies posted a two-round score of 620 to take first place by 44-strokes over Barton who placed second as a team.

DCCC: Softball battles Barton in pair of close games

Back on the road again on Monday for the Doge City softball team as they traveled to Great Bend for a KJCCC doubleheader with Barton. The Conquistadors battled in a pair of low-scoring affairs but came out on the wrong side falling 5-2 and 1-0.

Bucklin baseball: Red Aces split with Elkhart

The Bucklin Red Aces baseball team split a doubleheader with Elkhart as the Red Aces won the first game 4-0 but lost the second game 5-6. In the first game Nate Bowman threw a shutout to lead Bucklin Monday. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out 13. Hayden Ogorzolka had a dinger in the sixth inning for Bucklin and racked up eight hits in the game. Izaiah Pearce and Ogorzolka all managed multiple hits for Bucklin. Ogorzolka and Pearce each collected two hits to lead Bucklin.
