What to expect at the 2022 3i SHOW

On Thursday, March 17, the 68th annual 3i SHOW in Dodge City is upon us and with it some special events and demonstrations to meet the agricultural industry’s needs. According to Western Kansas Manufacturers Association president and sponsor of the 3i SHOW Eddie Estes, there will be 150 spaces available for patrons attending the three-day event at the Western State Bank Expo Center.

Southwest Kansas Storm fall in season opener to Omaha Beef

The Omaha Beef soundly defeated the Southwest Kansas Storm 36-18 to advance to 1-0 while the Storm record falls to 0-1 on the season. The Beef got the party started early in the first quarter with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Jones in the opening minutes to take a 8-0 lead. Later in the first quarter the Storm would score on a 28-yard touchdown run by Gerald Thomas to end the quarter down by only two points. Omaha would find the end zone two more times before the half and enter the intermission leading 20-6.

DCHS drama department will be ‘Burying the Hatchetts’

Vincent Marshall Dodge City Globe This spring it is time to get a little wild here in the Wild West with the Dodge City High School drama department’s production of “Burying the Hatchetts,” a play based on the 1964 film from the original Edgar Allan Poe story “The Fall of the House of Usher.” The play will be held on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at the DCHS Auditorium.
