DCCC: Softball splits doubleheader with Western Texas

Dodge City softball wrapped up their second road trip to Texas with a doubleheader split against Western Texas dropping game one 11-2 in five innings but responding with a 9-5 win in game two. The split moves the Conquistadors to 3-5 on the season as they went 3-1 on the road trip.

Lady Demons basketball powers past Great Bend

Great Bend had a plan to stop the Lady Demons’ leading scorer Becca Unruh and limit the Red Demon inside powerhouse Easha Potts. However Great Bend didn’t expect Ashlyn Lembright to pick up the slack as the Lady Demons picked up a 43-32 victory on Thursday, Feb. 17. Lembright scored a career-high 19 points on the night. She was 7-for-14 from the floor and tied a career high with five made 3-pointers.
