4-H soup supper and dance performance

Ford County 4-H Exchange group and Little Feet Dance Academy are holding a soup supper and dance performance on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 5 p.m. at the Ford County Fair Building, 901 W. Park Street, Dodge City.

One of the best ways to do that is to pass Governor Laura Kelly’s “Axing Your Taxes” plan, which calls for the complete and immediate elimination of the food sales tax.

DCCC: Women’s basketball wins 17th straight beating Cloud County

Dodge City women’s basketball team hit the road in KJCCC action and kept their win streak going extending it to 17-straight games behind a 74-59 win over Cloud County. The Conquistadors with the win move to 24-2 on the season and 19-1 in conference play, while also marking their fourth straight win over the Thunderbirds in the series.

The Shrine Circus is in town!

The elephants have returned to Dodge City after a one-year hiatus. Here are “Isla” and “Kelly” the Asian elephants contracted by the Hamid Circus to perform this weekend at the Shrine Circus in the Dodge City Civic Center. Adult tickets are $10 at the door and kids are $5. Elephant rides are $20.

Lady Demons basketball win 38-30 over Garden City

From the opening tip against Garden City the Lady Demons came out guns blazing on Valentine’s Day. That fast start proved instrumental after both teams settled in, as the Lady Demons never trailed and pulled away late for a 38-30 win in this Western Athletic Conference action.
