Scott Catchpole has been named interim CEO of Genesis Family Health which serves over 20,000 patients in Dodge City, Garden City, Liberal and Ulysses. Prior to being named interim CEO, Catchpole served as COO for Genesis Family Health for the past two years.
The Dodge City Women’s Chamber of Commerce held their January Meeting at Casey’s Cowtown on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m.
Dodge City women’s basketball notched another tally mark in the win column after dispatching of Garden City on Saturday with a 75-52 win. The win marks the 14th straight win as the Conquistadors improved to 21-2 on the season and 16-1 in conference play.
The Dodge City Commission voted to recommend a bid to the Federal Department of Transportation from Sky-West Charters to provide 12 weekly flights for a two-year term at its Feb. 6 meeting.
Miguel Hernandez made his destination known on Tuesday January 7th and will be heading to Dodge City Community College to play football. Hernandez has been a four year starter at Quarterback for the Sublette Larks.
The Kansas City Chiefs lost one of the NFL’s most dynamic receivers when Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins.The loss did nothing to slow them down. Kansas City revamped its receiving group in the offseason and the new players quickly meshed with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, riding a high-scoring wave all the way to the Super Bowl.
Dodge City track and field team headed west to compete at the Mines Winter Classic hosted by Colorado school of Mines over two days. The Conquistadors would see multiple performances that were improvements on marks this season as several athletes continued to take strides forward in competition.
Dodge City baseball season opened on the road as the Conquistadors traveled south to Texas for a threegame series with Ranger. The Conqs would finish the series strong with a dominating 17-0 win in game three but fell 12-9 and 11-10 in the first two games to Ranger to open the season 1-2.
Dodge City men’s basketball picked up their third straight win claiming victory over rival Garden City at home on Saturday, 84-76. The win marks the sixth straight in the series for the Conquistadors, while moving the Conqs to 17-6 on the season and 13-4 in KJCCC action.
